Pangrammer, or, Zeke Just Bought the Quietest Pixies CDs for His Family in West Virginia

A new time-wasting web toy for no good reason

Instead of the million productive things I should be doing, I spent a few hours making an extremely simple web toy to help make pangrams.

To be clear: the actual code only took about an hour, and that’s with me not having touched Javascript in years and having to relearn how it handles the document model. The rest of the time was spent wrestling with WordPress block and CSS styles, and I eventually just gave up and used old-school CSS.1So it’ll likely break if I ever change this theme.

Anyway, it’s “fun” if you’re a weirdo who loves procrastinating.2Or if you’re the kind of weirdo who I am, who got the idea last night and couldn’t sleep until I at least had an idea how to do it. I haven’t tested it anywhere except in Safari at my desktop, so who knows if it breaks literally everywhere else?

It’s called Pangrammer and you can try it out here.
